Masters Ballet & Contemporary Intensive (12yrs & up)

This intensive is for dancers ages 12 years and up (levels beginning through advanced). Dancers will be grouped with dancers at their level.

GROUPING & LEVELS: There are two different level groupings at the Masters Ballet & Contemporary Intensive.  Dancers currently enrolled in HCCD will automatically attend the group associated with the level they are currently in.  Other dancers will be placed in a level based on their experience.  No Audition is needed.  On the first day of the intensive, level adjustments will be made (if needed), to ensure that everyone is in the group that will most benefit them. Please see below for grouping information.

DRESS CODE:  Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, white wrap and pointe shoes (if on pointe).  Each dancer’s hair must be pulled back in a clean bun.  No jewelry or underwear should be visible. If you don’t have these items, these items are available for purchase in our store, “Aspen Leaf Dancewear” (located inside HCCD)

TUITION & REFUNDS: 

• INTENSIVE TUITION: $400.00.00 for the week, or $250.00 for HCCD Dancers in the Masters “Perks” Program
• DAILY DROP-IN RATE: $90.00 per day 

$50.00 of this fee, is a non-refundable deposit. The remaining amount can be refunded up to one month prior to the first day of the intensive.   No refunds after the first day of the intensive.  Prorated intensive fees will be at the rate of $100 per day. 

GROUP A: Beg/Intermediate (Generally 12+yrs)

General Information:

· Level: Intermediate/Pre-Pointe (Dancers ages 12yrs and up, or who are in HCCD Levels 1-3)

· Day/Time: Monday - Saturday (9-4pm)

· Lunch Break: A on hour Lunch Break will be provided.  Dancers should bring a sack lunch.

· Performance: Friday, 4:00pm (Family & Friends Invited)

· 9-10:30am – Contemporary Technique & Variations

· 10:30-11:30am – Leaps & Turns, Specialty Class

· 11:30-12:30pm – Lunch Break (bring sack lunch)

· 12:30-2pm – Ballet Technique

· 2-3pm – Ballet Repertoire

· 3-4pm – Character, Performance Prep

GROUP B: Advanced (Generally 12+yrs)

General Information:

· Level: Advanced (Dancers with 4+yrs of training, who have been dancing and executing repertoire on pointe) – HCCD Levels 4&up

· Day/Time: Monday - Saturday (9-4pm)

· Lunch Break: A on hour Lunch Break will be provided.  Dancers should bring a sack lunch.

· Performance: Friday, 4:00pm (Family & Friends Invited)
