Competition Team Auditions

We are so excited for this upcoming season. We will be holding auditions in both Fort Collins & Wellington Locations.

Below is some general competition information and the audition times. If you have any other questions please let us know!

AUDITION FEE: $10.00 (All Access Audition Fee)

TEAMS BEING OFFERED:

• Preschool Competition Teams (Ages 3-4yrs): Dancers will perform at two Denver Competitions
• Combo Competition Teams (Ages 5-7yrs):  Dancers will perform at two Denver Competitions
• Clogging Competition Teams: (All levels & Ages): Dancers will perform at two Denver Competitions and 1-2 out of State Competitions (depending upon the level). Dancers who qualify for Nationals will also attend this (not required for younger groups).
• Jazz & Lyrical Competition Teams: (All levels & Ages): Dancers will perform at two Denver Competitions

FEES TO BE AWARE OF:

• Competition Team Annual Fee: $100.00 ($150.00 per family of two or more dancers).
• Costume Fees: Costumes “normally” range between $75-90.00 per costume. The number of costumes needed depends upon the group you are in, and the number of dances you are doing. HCCD will do it’s best to keep these costs down. In some cases, HCCD will also be renting out costumes in order to keep costs as low as possible. Hair pieces and accessories (earrings, lip stick, etc.) will also be required! You will be receiving emails regarding ordering costumes once all the teachers/director have chosen the styles.
• Competition Entry Fees: These fees vary depending upon the competition, dance style and number competing in the routine (i.e. solos and trios are more expensive). Please pay close attention to the registration deadlines. We will be sending email reminders out.
• Team Jackets: All Competition Team members are required to have an HCCD Team Jacket for competition.

FORT COLLINS AUDITIONS: July 10-11th

Preschool Competition Team Auditions (Ages 3-4yrs): FRIDAY, JULY 10TH (FORT COLLINS)

• Audition Time: 4:30-5:00pm

Combo Competition Team Auditions (Ages 5-7yrs): FRIDAY, JULY 10TH (FORT COLLINS)

• Audition Time: 5-5:30pm

Clogging Competition Team Auditions: FRIDAY, JULY 10TH (FORT COLLINS)

• Rising Stars Clogging/Clogging 1 (Iron) - Audition Time: 5:30-6:00pm
• Clogging Level 2 & 3 (Nickel & Brass) - Audition Time: 6-6:30pm
• Clogging 4 & 5: (Copper & Bronze) - Audition Time: 6:30-7:00pm
• Clogging 6-7: (Steel & Cobalt) - Audition Time: 7-7:30pm
• Clogging 8&up - Audition Time: 7:30-8:00pm

Jazz/Lyrical Competition Team Auditions: SATURDAY, JULY 11TH (FORT COLLINS)

•  8-11yrs - Rising Stars Jazz & Lyrical/Masters Jazz & Lyrical Level 1: Audition Time: 1:30-2:00pm
• 12+yrs - Rising Stars & Jazz/Lyrical/Masters Jazz & Lyrical Level 1 (12+): Audition Time: 3-3:40pm
• Masters Jazz & Lyrical Levels 2&Up (Jazz B&C): Audition Time: 4:40-5:20pm

WELLINGTON AUDITIONS: Saturday, July 11th

Clogging Competition Team: JULY 11TH (WELLINGTON)

• Audition Time: 10-10:30 – Rising Stars Clogging/Clogging 1 (Iron)
• Audition Time: 10:30-11:00 – Clogging 2 (Nickel)/Clogging 3 (Brass)

Jazz/Lyrical Competition Team: 11-11:30AM (JULY 11TH (WELLINGTON)

Ballet Performance Company – 11:30-12:00  (JULY 11TH - WELLINGTON)

Preschool (3-4yr) Competition Team – 12-12:20 (JULY 11TH - WELLINGTON)

Combo (5-7yr) Competition Team – 12:20-12:40 (JULY 11TH - WELLINGTON)
